WBH's second meeting occurred on Wednesday, September 28. Originally intended to be a workshop for upcoming conference presentations, WBH members indicated they would prefer to spend time on proposals and applications for various conferences and summer institutes. As a group, we went through the different courses offered at the RSA Summer Institute, discussing intersections of each individual's research interests with the upcoming seminars and workshops. Much of the meeting was open work time, during which individuals applied for the institute or received feedback from others on the required statement of intent. Overall, the meeting provided an excellent chance to put other commitments aside and focus on applying for opportunities available through professional organizations of rhetoric.
